PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The men' s and women's swimming season started on Friday, when both squads lost to Pace University and Queens College. The men's team lost 95-61 to Pace and 147-46 to Queens. The women's team lost 138-43 to Pace and 159-43 to Queens.
On the men's side,
Travis Henry was the Cardinals' star of the night, as he finished third in the men's 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.32 and he finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:07.19.
Alfred Clark finished third in the long-distance 1,000 yard relay with a time of 13:48.36.
Alexandra Castro came in third place in the 100-yard breaststroke for the women's team with a time of 1:31.69, the best finish for the Cardinals.
Kerry-Ann Bailey finished the 200 yard-individual medley with a time of 3:25.24, good for fourth place.
The women's team will host Hunter College on Tuesday, November 4
th, and the men's team will swim again on November 14
th, on the road against Bard College.
