Cardinals Start the Swimming Season, Lose Double Dual to Pace and Queens

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The men' s and women's swimming season started on Friday, when both squads lost to Pace University and Queens College. The men's team lost 95-61 to Pace and 147-46 to Queens. The women's team lost 138-43 to Pace and 159-43 to Queens.

On the men's side, Travis Henry was the Cardinals' star of the night, as he finished third in the men's 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.32 and he finished second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:07.19. Alfred Clark finished third in the long-distance 1,000 yard relay with a time of 13:48.36.

Alexandra Castro came in third place in the 100-yard breaststroke for the women's team with a time of 1:31.69, the best finish for the Cardinals. Kerry-Ann Bailey finished the 200 yard-individual medley with a time of 3:25.24, good for fourth place.

The women's team will host Hunter College on Tuesday, November 4th, and the men's team will swim again on November 14th, on the road against Bard College.
