Swimming Falls to Staten Island
RESULTS
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— The York College men's and women's swimming teams each fell to the College of Staten Island on Friday night.
The men lost by a score of 156-47, while the women were defeated 174-13. The CSI women now stand at 6-4, 4-2 in the CUNYAC and the men are now 6-2 overall and 4-0 in CUNYAC play. The York women drop to 0-7 overall, 0-5 CUNYAC and the men fall to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the CUNYAC.
York's top performers were
George Asmar and
Alfred Clark. Asmar was second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.31. Clark was second in the 200-freestyle (2:09.05) and 100-butterfly (1:08.39).
John Castillo was also second in the 100-breaststroke (1:10.43).
York will return to action on January 21 when they host Lehman College on senior night.
