Women’s Soccer Falls to Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— The York College women's soccer team was defeated by the College of Staten Island in its first CUNY Athletic Conference contest of the 2013 season, losing 8-0.

The Cardinals had no answer for the Dolphins' Demi-Jean Martorano, who scored five of her team's eight goals. Samantha Wysokowski added two goals.

The loss drops York's record to 1-6, 0-1 CUNYAC, while CSI is now 7-0-1 and 2-0 in the CUNYAC. The Cardinals will visit Lehman College on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
