Women’s Soccer Opens CUNYAC Schedule with Loss to Brooklyn

BOX SCORE
BROOKLYN, N.Y.— The York College women's soccer team opened up the CUNY Athletic Conference portion of the schedule on Wednesday afternoon, where they fell to Brooklyn College by a score of 6-0.

The Cardinals had no answer for the Bulldogs' Jordan Kerwin, who recorded three goals—all in the first half—to put the game out of reach early.  Bergelie Louis added two goals and Shani Abrahams assisted on three goals.

York had few scoring opportunities in the match, as they were stifled by the Brooklyn defense.  The Cardinals could only manage three shots on goal.  Brooklyn goalies Kimberely Chacko and Karolina Gorna combined on the shutout.

With the win, Brooklyn improves to 6-0, 1-0 CUNYAC, while York drops to 1-5, 0-1 CUNYAC.  The Cardinals will visit the College of Staten Island on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
