JAMAICA, N.Y.— The York College women's basketball struggled against Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC contest on Tuesday night, losing 76-46.
Brooklyn controlled the game from the start and led wire-to-wire in the victory. The Bulldogs held the Cardinals to just 22 percent from the field and forced 24 turnovers, which were converted into 23 points.
York also had no answer for Megan Campbell, who notched a double-double, scoring 23 points and grabbing 11 boards. Asia Foster also had a double-double, scoring 10 points and 12 boards.
The Cardinals were led by
Angelika Ruggiano, who had a team-high 17 points.
Aimee Aikens had eight points.
Brooklyn improves to 4-3, 1-1 CUNYAC, while York drops to 1-7, 0-2 CUNYAC. The Cardinals will host Baruch College on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
