Berkeley Defeats Women’s Soccer, 4-0

NEW YORK, N.Y.- The York College women's soccer team outshot Berkeley College, 21-16, but could not find the back of the net, while Berkeley made the most of its opportunities and defeated the Cardinals, 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.
The first goal of the match was at 6:40 by Kerry Ann Houghton, with an assist by Wendy Valladares. Shortly after, in the 17th minute, Berkeley's Frida Sintiem added another goal on an assist by Kenia Cohetero. Berkeley then added two goals in the second half by Valladares and Sintiem at the 64th and 85th minute.
York's record drops to 2-11 and Berkeley improves to 3-2.
The next match will be at home against conference opponent, John Jay College, on Monday October 21st at 4:00 p.m. The Cardinals will return to their home field at Aviator Sports and Events Center after being unable to play there during the government shutdown.
