Women’s Basketball Routs Medgar Evers

JAMAICA, NY— The York College women's basketball team cruised to a 70-41 victory over Medgar Evers College on Friday night.
York forced 48 turnovers, which resulted in 46 York points and held the Cougars to just 29 percent shooting on the night. On offense, York shot a strong 46 percent from the field.
The Cardinals were led by
Ishonda McFarland, who continued her strong play of late, with a team-high 20 points.
Danielle Dunn added ten points, five boards and four blocks. Shadaea Green also chipped in ten points. Every player who entered the game got on the score sheet with at least one point.
Medgar Evers was led by Yvanna Jack who had a game-high 21 points and 24 rebounds and by Chantal Biscette, who registered 17 points and ten boards.
York (3-17, 2-6 CUNYAC) will host the College of Staten Island on Monday at 6:00 p.m.
