Baruch Wins Big Over Women’s Basketball

JAMAICA, N.Y—The Baruch College Bearcats controlled from the game from the onset, winning easily over the York College women's basketball team Friday night.
The Bearcats (10-11, 4-4 CUNYAC) were dominant from start to finish and at game's end, the final score was 105-47. Baruch had six players score in double-figures and every person who entered the game scored at least three points. The Bearcats were led by Folashade Akine who had a double-double, scoring 20 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Francess Henry had 16 points and Vikki DeTata had 11 points and eight assists. Alyscia Jordan had a big all-around game in just 17 minutes of action, scoring ten points, grabbing nine boards and swatting six shots.
York had a pair of players pick up double-doubles.
Joanna Josama had 12 points and ten boards and
Ishonda McFarland had ten points and 13 boards.
York (1-17, 1-6 CUNYAC) will visit the College of New Rochelle on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
