NJCU Dominant in Win over Women’s Soccer

JERSEY CITY, NJ— Playing against one of the top teams in Division III, the first-year York College women's soccer team struggled against New Jersey City University Saturday afternoon, losing by a score of 7-0.
 
The game was never in questions, as the Gothic Knights scored just 2:16 into the contest and then scored again five minutes later to take a quick 2-0 advantage.  NJCU continued to pour it on, scoring two more goals before halftime and three more early in the second half.
 
NJCU's Jennifer Albuja had a big afternoon, scoring three goals, while assisting on another.   Julia Ceseres also had a hat trick, while Amanda netted a goal to round out the scoring for the Gothic Knights. 
 
York falls to 1-8 in its inaugural season, while NJCU improves to 11-3.  York will visit the College of Staten Island on Tuesday.
