Regular Season Ends in Rough Fashion for Women’s Soccer

WESTBURY, NY— The York College women's soccer team did not end its first ever regular season on a good note, as they fell to SUNY Old Westbury by a score of 9-0 on Tuesday evening. 
 
Old Westbury wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, scoring two goals in the first six minutes of play.   They would add two more goals late in the first half to make the score 4-0 at halftime.  The Panthers continued to pour it on in the second half, finding the back of the net five more times. 
 
Samantha Clancy had a big game for the Panthers scoring three goals, while Kassandra Franco, JoAnna Kettell and Cassandra Esposito each had two goals to round out the scoring.  Jennifer Kuper assisted on three goals for the Panthers.
 
Old Westbury improves to 9-6, while York drops to 1-12.  The Cardinals will visit the College of Staten Island in the CUNY Athletic Conference playoffs on November 2nd at 3:30 p.m.
