Lady Cardinals Drop Regular Season Finale to Brooklyn College

BROOKLYN, NY— The York College women's basketball team wrapped up the regular season Saturday afternoon, losing to rival Brooklyn College, 77-63, in a CUNY Athletic Conference South Division match-up.
The Bridges got a balanced scoring effort in a game where they led from the opening tip-off. Five players scored in double-figures for Brooklyn, led by Ashley Allen with 13 points. Justine O'Callahan finished with 12 points and eight rebounds.
For York, freshman Justina Boatwright recorded a game-high 14 points to go along with six boards, while Niya Jarvis finished with 13 points and seven boards. Sophomore Ishonda McFarland paced York with ten points.
York finishes the regular season with a record of 8-16 and 5-8 in the CUNYAC, while Brooklyn closes out the regular season with a record of 17-7 and 9-4 in the CUNYAC. The two teams will meet once again, in the CUNYAC quarterfinals, as the fourth and fifth seeds in the tournament. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday at Brooklyn College.
