Men’s and Women’s Swimming Falls to Baruch
NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's and women's swim teams each fell to Baruch on Monday evening, The women fell by a score of 120-73, while the men were defeated 125-59.
Despite the loss, the Cardinals had number of notable individual efforts. For the women, Averie Mohammed and Chrisviany Delarosa finished 1-2 in the 50-freestyle. Mohammed also added a second place finish in the 100-free. In addition, Ayanna Bennett placed second in the 100-back.
For the men, Andrew Phillips placed first in the 50-free and second in the 100-fly. James Kearney added a second place finish in the 50-free.
The loss drops the men's record to 1-2, while the women fall to 2-3. York will return to action on December 10 when they host FDU-Florham and Sarah Lawrence in a tri-meet.
