Omar St. John had a November to remember to start off his senior season with the York College men’s basketball team. To start off his month, St. John was voted the Preseason CUNYAC Player of the Year and was named to the D3Hoops.com Preseason All-America Team.

In five games, he has averaged 24.8 points (2nd in CUNYAC) and 4.2 rebounds, as well as collecting 11 steals and 24 assists (4th in CUNYAC). St. John also earned CUNYAC Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for the week of 11/24-11/30.

In a contest against CUNYAC foe Medgar Evers on November 25th, St. John tied the York College single-game record with 46 points, leading the Cardinals to an 85-80 victory. His encore performance came in the next game on November 29th, against the University of Rochester. St. John scored 36 points and collected 10 rebounds, his first double-double of the year, on the way to an 80-76 win.
