Dr. Carly Gieseler began serving as York’s Faculty Athletic Representative in 2017.
Gieseler has served as an Assistant Professor in Speech and Communication at York College since 2011. Previously, she was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of South Florida from 2006-11 and was also an adjunct at Edison State College.
Gieseler has a Ph.D. in Communications from the University of South Florida, a Masters of Arts in Communication from Hawaii Pacific University; and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Journalism/ Mass Media from Rutgers University.
She is a lifelong runner who has competed in several distance races, ranging from marathons to 50k trail runs, to a 50-mile ultramarathon. She also enjoys softball and golf as well.
Gieseler teaches several of York’s student-athletes and has even created a Sports Communication course at York College.
