NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College's Jordan Brown was named a 2026 CUNYAC Men's Cross Country Preseason Runner to Watch on Thursday, as league officials promoted the eight-member class. This laurel is the Brooklyn native's first-career conference recognition. 

Debuting for York in the men's outdoor track & field campaign, Brown competed in two meets, including the 2026 Outdoor Championships at Icahn Stadium. His 10th-place finish in the 200-meter event (24.22 seconds) was good enough for 16th in the CUNYAC Outdoor Performance List. He was also part of the 4x400-meter relay squad that finished fifth. 

Team-wise, the Cardinals were polled as the eighth-best group.

Hunter College is the overwhelming favorite with 49 points and seven first-place finishes. Baruch College collected the other first-place nod and finished with 39 points. The Cardinals generated seven points. York's seven-meet slate commences with the Purchase College Invitational on September 12 at Purchase College. 

The 2026 year-end meet occurs on October 25 at Van Cortland Park.
