NEW YORK --- (
www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's and women's indoor track & field combined to produce three personal records Sunday evening at the CUNYAC Championships held inside the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory. The Cardinals finished fifth in both the men's and women's competitions, while Medgar Evers College swept the team titles.
Men's Performance Breakdown
- Michael Zhang delivered a personal-best performance in the mile, clocking a 5:20.55 to secure fourth place and earn five points for the Cardinals.
- Wilkens Guervil turned in a pair of career-high results, clocking in at 58.12 (5th) in the 400-meter race and 25.24 (8th) in the 200-meter dash. His efforts contributed five total points to the team score.
- Bryan Ortiz followed Guervil in the 200-meter competition (27.93, 9th) and ran the 60-meter preliminaries at 8.46 (10th).
Women's Performance Breakdown
- Keanna Clouden produced one point in the 400-meter event, crossing the finish line at a season best (1:19.75, 8th). Clouden also recorded a season-high mark in the 200-meter run, finishing ninth with a time of 31.81.
