www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's basketball matched their season-high scoring output on Friday evening in a CUNYAC road matchup against the City College of New York Beavers (4-13, 2-6 CUNYAC), but fell 73-54 inside Nat Holman Gymnasium.
How it Happened
- CCNY got off to a blazing 14-0 lead in the opening 3:57 of action.
- Tyla Hooks broke the ice for the Cardinals with a three-pointer at the 4:46 mark of the first quarter to make it 14-3.
- The Beavers extended their edge to 19 (22-3) before Amaniya Aiken's last-second basket capped off the frame at 22-5.
- A pair of layups by Hooks and Aiken trimmed the deficit to 15 (24-9) with 8:35 remaining in the half.
- Ashley Colon sparked CCNY on a 7-0 run to push the advantage to 22 (31-9).
- Trailing 36-13, Aiken responded with seven consecutive points for York to rally the margin to 16 (36-20) at the 2:47 mark. Aiken then clinched her 15-point first-half display with a layup at nine seconds on the clock, as the scoreboard read 40-22.
- The Beavers pushed their lead to a game-best 26 points (51-25) following an 11-3 burst to start the third period as Jocelyn Ramos netted seven points during the stretch.
- Beautifull Earth scored the next four points for York to make it a 51-29 game with 5:46 remaining in the third.
- Both teams endured a scoring drought of over three minutes, with Elizabeth Herrera's free throw at 2:07 getting CCNY back in the scoring column (52-29).

Leading the Cardinals
- Aiken poured in a career-best 30 points and continued her defensive effort with four steals.
- Earth produced an all-around statline of eight points, 10 rebounds, four assists, five steals, and two blocks.
- Hooks added seven points, a team-leading 12 rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
- Chamiya Foy contributed eight rebounds, and Ceana Adams matched Earth's two-block total to round out the Cardinal display.
For CCNY
- Ramos scored a team-high 18 points (8-of-16 FG, 2-of-4 3FG) to go along with seven rebounds and five steals.
- Colon added 17 points, swishing home three triples during the contest.
- Subervi recorded a double-double with 15 points and a game-best 13 rebounds.
- Blessings Joseph-Pascall (12) and Amanda Fisher (11) combined for 23 rebounds.
- Joseph-Pascall also tallied five assists and eight steals.

York shot 35.8 percent (24-of-67) from the field, canned two triples, and sank four free throws. The Beavers connected on 34.5 percent (30-of-87) of their field goals, shot 38.9 percent (7-of-18) from beyond the arc, and made six extra points. The Beavers also secured more rebounds (63-55), dished out more assists (21-11), and totaled more steals (20-14), ultimately leading to a 30-14 edge in points off turnovers.
