www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College's men's and women's swimming teams competed Saturday afternoon at the Kaplan Center Pool in Newburgh, New York, facing Mount Saint Mary College and John Jay College. The Cardinals were outscored by the Knights in the men's meet, 105–44. On the women's side, York fell to Mount Saint Mary, 95–12, before dropping a CUNYAC decision to John Jay, 120–13.
For the men,
Munab Hasnain had a pair of third-place finishes in the 50-yard freestyle (38.34) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:49.66).
Lukas Rivera also generated third-place points in the 100-yard backstroke (2:05.72).
Tyrone Morris swam the 50-yard freestyle in a career-high time of 50.52 (4th).
Brandon Smith showed improvement in the 50-yard freestyle (50.91, 5th) and the 100-yard backstroke (2:53.28, 4th).
Darien Davis produced a season-best result in the 100-yard breaststroke (2:06.21, 5th).Â
The Cardinals also scored first-place points in both the 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay. The combination of Rivera, Davis, Hasnain, and Morris finished the 200-yard medley relay at 3:31.46, and the quartet of Smith, Davis, Morris, and Rivera swam the latter relay in 8:33.47.Â
Elizabeth Astudillo recorded career highs for the Cardinal women in the 50-yard freestyle (37.65), 100-yard backstroke (1:50.57), and 100-yard breaststroke (2:12.34).

The Cardinal women (0-7, 0-3 CUNYAC) wrap up their home schedule Thursday (Jan. 22) with a CUNYAC matchup against the Hunter College Hawks (6-5, 4-0 CUNYAC) beginning at 6 p.m. inside York College Natatorium.
