www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's basketball entered Wednesday unbeaten in CUNYAC play at 4–0, marking its best conference start since the 2009–10 season, but the Cardinals were unable to extend the streak, falling by the final count of 91–63 on the road to the Lehman College Lightning (10–6, 5–0 CUNYAC) inside APEX Arena.
How it Happened
- A three-pointer from Kofi Mends gave Lehman a 6-0 start.
- A triple from Mends at the 15:51 mark maintained the six-point margin (11-5).
- York trimmed the deficit to one (11-10) following a three-pointer from Joshua Jackman.
- The Lightning responded with an extended 13-2 burst to go up by a dozen (24-12) with 10:42 remaining in the half. Amar Ndiaye (7) and Zay Marte (4) combined for 11 points during the stretch.
- A pair of baskets by York's Jonte Wallace and a layup by Jackman made it a six-point margin (24-18) at 9:17. T
- he single-digit advantage did not last long, with Lehman sprinting to a 39-22 lead with 2:03 showing on the clock following a 15-4 blitz.
- The Cardinals entered halftime down 39-26 after four straight free throws.
- York began the second half on fire offensively, scoring 15 points in the first 5:17 of action to make it a five-point game (46-41).
- The Lightning replied quickly, as Ricardo Dixon's three-point play got the margin back to double-digits (53-43) at the 12:38 mark.
- Ahead 60-48, Marte's layup with 7:10 remaining capped off a 9-2 run to give Lehman a 19-point lead (69-50).
- Layups by Malakai Clark and Gozie Chinegwundoh trimmed the deficit to 15 (69-54), but that was as close as the Cardinals got the rest of the way.

Leading the Cardinals
- Jackman led the squad with 16 points (4-of-12 3FG) to go along with six rebounds and two blocks.
- Wallace added 13 points (7-of-13 FG) and contributed defensively with three steals.
- Christopher Smith netted 10 points (4-of-7 FG) and nabbed two steals.
- Chinegwundoh secured a team-high seven rebounds and poked away two steals, while Jaidan Johnson distributed a team-best four assists.
For Lehman
- Tyler Harts was one of three players to record a double-double, as he totaled a game-high 22 points (9-of-12 FG) and 11 rebounds.
- Mends poured in 18 points (5-of-8 3FG) to go along with six rebounds.
- Ndiaye tallied 13 points (5-of-8 FG), 11 rebounds, and two blocks.
- Dixon finished with 10 points and 11 boards.
- Marte also provided 10 points, and Kesean Tracey dished out a team-leading four assists.
Inside the Box Score
York shot 37.3 percent (25-of-67) from the floor, drilled four triples, and sank nine free throws. The Lightning drained 50.7 percent (34-of-67) of their field goals, made six three-point baskets, and shot 68 percent (18-of-25) from the charity stripe. In addition to having the shooting advantage, Lehman dominated the Cardinals inside, winning the rebound battle (58-26) and generating 52 points in the paint.
