JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College head men's soccer coach Brahim Chhab announced Wednesday the celebratory signing of Alexander Cruz. He arrives at York College following two varsity seasons at Evergreen Charter School.

Playing in defense and as a goalkeeper, Cruz helped Evergreen Charter hoist the Long Island Group C Championship in 2023 and landed on the 2024 All-Conference squad as a netminder. Across two varsity campaigns, he recorded 94 saves. Academically, the incoming freshman plans to study business administration.

Cruz joins former teammate Joshua Flores (read more), along with John Garavito of Newtown High School (read more), Michael Guaman of Aviation High School (read more), and Troy Joshua Batac of Lawrence High School (read more) as Cardinal commitments for 2025.
