Brahim Chhab announced Monday the celebratory signing of Troy Joshua Batac ahead of the 2025 campaign. Batac arrives at York College after a trophy-laden high school career.

Starting his journey at St. John's Preparatory School in Astoria, Queens, Batac helped the men's varsity squad win CHSAA (Catholic High School Athletic Association) Division A titles in 2021 and 2022. Finishing his career at Lawrence High School, he played a key part in the Golden Tornadoes making the Nassau Class A Championship game in 2023 and 2024.
Batac is projected to play center midfield at York College and has demonstrated the ability to deputize in multiple defensive roles. Academically, he plans to study psychology.

Batac joins John Garavito of Newtown High School (
