JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College head men's soccer coach Brahim Chhab announced Thursday the signing of John Garavito ahead of the 2025 campaign. Garavito arrives at York after playing on the varsity squad at Newtown High School.

"York is a good school for my education, and the community inside and outside of the school is very good as well. It's a very exciting path in my life, as it's a new step in my future, and I'm excited to be part of York." -John Garavito

At York College, he is projected to play as an attacking midfielder and pursue a degree in physical education.

Garavito is the first of York's recruiting class to be announced. In the coming weeks, we will learn more about the program's Cardinal commitments for the new campaign.
