How it Happened
- Malakai Clark's layup for York evened the score at seven with 15:35 remaining in the half.
- A quick 5-0 burst gave Baruch a 12-7 advantage.
- Consecutive three-pointers from Litchfield and Demitrius Gould gave the Cardinals a one-point edge (15-14).
- Jack Gordon's three-pointer at the 9:35 mark re-established the Bearcats' five-point lead (22-17).
- York leveled the back-and-forth first period at 22 following Kai Holland's transition three-pointer.
- Ahead 27-25 with 5:56 showing on the clock, Baruch utilized an extended 16-5 run to take a 43-31 scoreline into intermission.
- Roaring back, Aidony Nivar's three-point play capped off a 11-0 Cardinal surge to begin the second frame, closing the gap to one (43-42).
- Gerard Nicholson finalized an 8-2 spurt for the Bearcats, as they took a seven-point advantage (51-44) with 11:35 remaining.
- Holland's triple trimmed the deficit back to one (51-50).
- Slowly extending its lead, Baruch got the scoreline to three possessions (63-56) following Nicholson's three-pointer at the 5:02 mark.
- Making it a game again, six points by Gould and a three-pointer from Nivar trimmed the margin to two (67-65) with 73 seconds left.
- A jumper by Gould at 0:47 once again put York within two (69-67)
- After a clutch stop, Gould's jumper to tie the game came up short, and Nicholson's two free throws sealed a 71-67 Bearcat triumph.
Leading the Cardinals
- Gould netted a team-best 13 points (5-of-8 FG, 1-of-1 3FG, 2-of-2 FT) and dished out four assists.
- Bryan Godette scored an efficient 11 points (5-of-6 FG) off the bench.
- Nivar totaled 10 points and a team-high two steals.
- Barrett recorded a game-leading 13 boards and distributed a team-best six dimes.
- Singh swished home two triples in the first half.
For Baruch
- Nicholson finished with a game-high 23 points to go along with four assists and three steals.
- Gordon added 15 points (6-of-11 FG, 3-of-6 3FG).
- Nicholas Lam produced 10 points (4-of-7 FG, 2-of-5 3FG) and a team-best six assists off the bench.
- Brandon Goldberg secured a team-leading 12 rebounds.
- Dylan Minnick contributed eight rebounds and five assists.

The Cardinals shot 41.5 percent (27-of-65) from the floor, 30.4 percent (7-of-23) from downtown, and a perfect 100 percent (6-of-6) from the charity stripe. Baruch made 43.8 percent (28-of-64) of its field goals, 25.9 percent (7-of-27) of its three-point opportunities, and shot 53.3 percent (8-of-15) from free-throw land. The Bearcats held slim advantages in the rebound (33-32), assist (22-20), and steal (8-5) departments, while York had the edge in blocks (2-1).
