www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's volleyball returned to home court Thursday evening with a non-conference matchup against the SUNY Old Westbury Panthers (1-0), falling in straight sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-8) inside York College Gymnasium.
First Set Breakdown
- A back-and-forth beginning, Simranjit Kaur's ace for the Cardinals trimmed the deficit to one (6-5).
- Two kills by York's Jeana Clemons made it a 10-7 scoreline.
- Leading by two (13-11), Old Westbury went on a 5-1 burst to extend its edge to five (18-13).
- Showing fight, the Cardinals won three out of the next five points to make it a three-point game again (19-16).
