JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's volleyball returned to home court Thursday evening with a non-conference matchup against the SUNY Old Westbury Panthers (1-0), falling in straight sets (25-17, 25-15, 25-8) inside York College Gymnasium.

First Set Breakdown

• A back-and-forth beginning, Simranjit Kaur's ace for the Cardinals trimmed the deficit to one (6-5).
• Two kills by York's Jeana Clemons made it a 10-7 scoreline.
• Leading by two (13-11), Old Westbury went on a 5-1 burst to extend its edge to five (18-13).
• Showing fight, the Cardinals won three out of the next five points to make it a three-point game again (19-16).
• A pair of smackdowns by Samantha Maser closed out a 6-1 run for the Panthers to claim the set.
