Glenver Stuart was recognized Thursday as a 2023 CUNYAC Men's Cross Country Preseason Runner to Watch as league officials released the seven-member squad.
Stuart, a 2022 CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team member, competed in four events last season, recording a career-best 8k time of 37:08.6 in the CUNYAC Championships. That finish was good enough for 33rd place, second among York runners.
Voted on by the league coaches, York was selected seventh in the CUNYAC Preseason Poll.

Hunter College paced the predictions with 48 points along with six first-place nods. CCNY and Baruch College each shared a first-place vote. The Cardinals received 15 total points. York's seven-meet schedule begins with the Purchase College Invitational on September 9.
The 2023 CUNYAC Championships will take place on October 29 at Van Cortlandt Park as the Cardinals look to show out under first-year head coach James Wilkerson.
