FLUSHING, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College sophomore Glenver Stuart claimed two men's outdoor track & field honors Tuesday when the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) announced its 2023 All-Star awards.

Stuart garnered the Cardinals' 13th All-Star distinction since 2017 while his Sportsmanship Team honor is York's fourth in as many seasons.

A consistent force in the 400-meter and 800-meter events, Stuart ran a season-high time in the 800-meters of 2:09.16 at the Rutgers Relays (Apr 21), good for second in the CUNYAC Outdoor Performance List. Showing out in the CUNYAC Championships, the sophomore claimed sixth place in the 400-meter dash and second in the 800-meter category, picking up 12 points combined. The Queens native was also a part of the 4x100 relay team that medaled in third place with six points and the 4x400 group that obtained four points.

"As co-captain, Glenver continues to display great sportsmanship. He is there for his teammates as well as his coaches. He is the true definition of perseverance.  Glenver is also one of the main motivations behind a team and a strong minded athlete."-said head coach Jamal Wilkerson
