www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's volleyball set a season-high for first-set points Thursday night, but were unable to keep pace with the John Jay College Bloodhounds (11-6, 5-2 CUNYAC) in a CUNYAC road matchup, falling in straight sets (25-11, 25-9, 25-9) inside The Doghouse.

How it Happened
- York got on the board first with a service error by John Jay's Maxwell Law.
- A 13-1 run by John Jay gave the Bloodhounds a 13-2 advantage in the first set.
- The Cardinals took nine of the next 15 points, cutting John Jay's lead to eight (19-11).
- The Bloodhounds rattled off six straight points to win the first frame.
- Logan Ramos' ace capped off John Jay's 6-0 start in the second stanza.
- Kills by Jaylen Campbell and Ahmed Algendy helped York pull within nine (17-8).
- John Jay wrapped up the second set by winning eight of the last nine points.
- Level at one, the Bloodhounds ripped off a 9-2 burst to take a 10-3 advantage in the third period.
- Algendy and Glenver Stuart both produced kills to trim John Jay's lead to 18-9.
- Two kills and an ace capped off a 7-0 spurt for John Jay to take the third set.
Leading the Cardinals
- Campbell paced York with three kills and hit a career-high .286.
- Algendy chipped in with two kills, four assists and five digs.
- Stanley Sanchez equalled Algendy's team-high of five digs.
- Marvin Mondesir contributed four digs.
- Stuart finished with one kill and a blocking assist as Alex Winter accounted for the other half of the rejection.
For John Jay
- Kyle Barriffe-Johnson led the way with five aces, five kills, and a 1.000 attack rate.
- Logan Ramos added five kills and served a match-leading six aces.
- Stephen Daly totaled a match-high seven kills.
- Jack Nugent tallied six kills and a block.
- Maxwell Law quarterbacked the team with 14 assists.
Inside the Box Score
- The Cardinals hit -.125 in the match and recorded six kills.
- John Jay attacked at a .371 rate and outplayed York in kills (33-6), assists (27-5), digs (28-14) and aces (18-0).
