www.YORKATHLETICS.com)Â York College announced the hiring of Huey Ferguson as the Business Development Manager. Ferguson is tasked with developing and implementing business opportunities at York.Â

Ferguson arrives with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, first joining the Municipal Credit Union in 2007. Throughout his time at New York City's largest credit union, Ferguson has held the role of Business Development Manager, Senior Quality Assurance Manager, and Manager of Card Services.Â
A strong community advocate, in his position as a Business Development Manager, Ferguson led initiatives such as making CUNY and St. John's University students eligible for membership with the Credit Union. Additionally, he helped develop and manage relationships with clients such as the United Federation of Teachers and NYC Health. Ferguson transitioned his effective campaign strategies to the Senior Quality Assurance Manager position, managing operations of a high-volume call center that processed over 1000 transactions daily. In his most recent role as a Card Services Manager one of his accomplishments was developing a retention strategy for credit & debit card customers and accomplishing a 10%-year over-year decrease in card claims through the development of fraud monitoring programs.
Ferguson is a prominent name in the New York City soccer landscape. Graduating St. John's University with a degree in business administration, he starred for the men's soccer program from 1991-94. Ferguson is the program's all-time career leader in both goals (50) and points (130) and ranks second in assists (30). His play helped the Johnnies capture three-consecutive BIG EAST Tournament Championships. Individually, the forward was a two-time All-American, a two-time BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, and a three-time First Team All-BIG EAST selection. For his efforts, Ferguson was inducted into the St. John's University Hall of Fame in 2013 and the New York City Soccer Hall of Fame in 2020.
Outside of St. John's, Ferguson has devoted time and energy to playing and teaching soccer. A Jamaican youth international, he played professionally from 1995-2002. Additionally, he is a five-time New Jersey State Champion as a youth soccer coach and an Academy Director for the Storm Soccer Academy, Tri-State Soccer and TSF Academy.
