www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's basketball rallied Tuesday evening to tie the game in the final seconds but were unable to push past the Brooklyn College Bulldogs (9-15, 6-8 CUNYAC), dropping a 91-89 CUNYAC road decision inside West Quad Center Gymnasium. The Cardinals split the season series against the Bulldogs, claiming a 88-70 home victory on January 20.
How it Happened
- Brooklyn raced out to a 16-6 edge in the opening minutes.
- A 6-0 mini-run for York cut its deficit to four (16-12) at the 4:04 mark in the first half.
- Leading by three (26-23), the Bulldogs utilized a 9-2 burst to create a 10-point cushion (35-25) with 9:34 remaining in the period.
- Up 35-30, a 15-1 spurt galvanized Brooklyn to a 50-31 advantage with 5:04 left.
- Terrell Fullerton converted two free-throws to close the half to pull York within 15 (54-39).
- Devine Chisholm came out swinging in the second half, scoring York's first 14 points to close its deficit to six (59-53).
- Micaiah Goosby's layup at 15:29 pushed the Cardinals within two (59-57).
- The Bulldogs answered by scoring seven-unanswered points to go up nine (66-57).
- Kayin Olajide dropped in a layup with 9:36 remaining to increase the Bulldogs' advantage to 11 (76-65).
- Brooklyn maintained its double-digit lead for the next 8:42 until William Brown canned a trey to trim York's deficit to seven (89-82).
- Chisholm's 3-point play capped a 15-3 scoring spree with 15 seconds left to even the score at 89.
- Zuric Harvey sank a driving layup with one second left to give Brooklyn a 91-89 victory.

Chisholm was electric, leading York with a career-high 29 points (9-of-17 FG, 4-of-8 3FG, 7-of-7 FT).
Olawale Kila followed up with his ninth double-double of the season, netting 17 points (5-of-11 FG, 7-of-9 FT) and a career-best 19 rebounds. Fullerton added 16 points (5-of-11 FG, 6-of-6 FT) and three assists. Goosby scored 12 points (5-of-14 FG, 2-of-4 FT) and hauled in eight boards.
Tavon Price chipped in with seven points, six assists, five rebounds and two blocks.
Zuric led a quintet of double-figure scorers for Brooklyn with 22 points (8-of-15 FG, 5-of-10 3FG). Olajide had 18 points (7-of-12 FG, 2-of-5 3FG) to go along with eight boards and five steals. Elisha Park added 17 points (7-of-10 FG, 3-of-5 3FG), seven assists and six rebounds. David McFadden tallied 15 points (5-of-9 FG, 4-of-5 3FG) while Malik Dale recorded 12 points (4-of-11 FG, 2-of-4 3FG).
The Cardinals shot 45.3 percent (29-of-64) from the field, 31.3 percent (5-of-16) from deep and 78.8 percent (26-of-33) from the charity stripe. Meanwhile, Brooklyn landed 47.9 percent (34-of-71) from the floor, 51.6 percent (15-of-31) from downtown and 58.3 percent (7-of-12) from the free-throw line.
While York had a large advantage on the glass (48-31), Brooklyn won the assists battle (25-17). The Cardinals also had more second-chance points (19-12), paint points (44-26), and fast break points (20-8).

The Cardinals (8-17) are back in postseason play Saturday (Feb. 18) for the second-straight season, and will go head-to-head with the No. 5 Hunter College Hawks (9-15) as the fourth-seed at 2 p.m. in the first-round of the CUNYAC Championship inside York College Gymnasium. Both teams split the season series with York claiming a January 18 (121-115) victory on the road before Hunter traveled to Queens to take the February 10 (94-88) bout.
