www.YORKATHLETICS.com) Advancing to the playoffs for the second-straight season, fourth-seeded York College men's basketball's run at a CUNYAC Championship ended Saturday at home, falling 93-81 in the first-round to the fifth-seeded Hunter College Hawks (10-16) inside York College Gymnasium.

How it Happened
- Hunter utilized a 10-0 burst to lead 16-9 at the 14:59 mark of the first-half.
- Trailing 31-24, a 6-0 run by York cut the deficit to one (31-30) with 5:45 remaining.
- The Hawks pushed their lead back up to seven (37-30) following a Gene Propper 3-pointer.
- Tavon Price's layup at the 2:30 mark capped off a 10-1 charge for the Cardinals to go up 40-38.
- Jeremy Montrose's two free-throws with 31 seconds left in the half ended the scoring to send Hunter into intermission ahead 48-45.
- Devine Chisholm attacked the rim 2:03 in to give York a five-point edge (56-51).
- Comrac Reiily's triple with 15:52 remaining capped off an 8-2 spurt to put Hunter back in front by two (59-57).
- The Cardinals responded with a 10-3 run, taking a 67-62 lead with 12:55 showing on the clock.
- Montrose converted a free throw at the 7:54 mark to close a 10-0 scoring spree to extend Hunter's advantage to five (72-67).
- York got as close as three (72-69) with Olawale Kila converting on a pair of free-throws 12 seconds later.
- Hunter pushed its lead to thirteen (82-69) with 6:13 left in the game as Reilly drained another 3-pointer, part of an extended 20–2 run.
- The Hawks played with a double-digit lead for the final 4:27 to build a game-high cushion of 17 points (93-65) with 54 seconds left.

Chisholm led the way for York with 21 points (8-of-16 FG, 2-of-6 3FG, 3-of-4 FT), six rebounds and four assists.
Terrell Fullerton scored 15 points (5-of-13 FG, 5-of-9 FT) and gathered five boards.
Tavon Price recorded his first double-double for the Cardinals, netting 14 points (3-of-7 FG, 8-of-14 FT) and hauling in 16 boards.
Micaiah Goosby totaled his third double-double of the season, adding 11 points (5-of-11 FG) and 12 pull-downs.
William Brown chipped in with 11 points (4-of-9 FG) off the bench.
Reilly spearheaded the victory for Hunter, scoring a game-high 28 points (9-of-13 3FG) in 19 minutes of action. Luka Jakic tallied 16 points (10-of-15 FT), 16 boards and five assists. Ryan Lau added 10 points (2-of-8 FG, 5-of-5 FT). Enzo Caceres-Roussell dished out a game-best eight dimes.
The Cardinals shot 39.1 percent (27-of-69) from the floor, 18.8 percent (3-of-16) from downtown, and 58.5 percent (24-of-51) from the charity stripe. Hunter canned 35.6 percent (26-of-73) of its shots but made 17 threes (37.8 percent) in comparison. The Hawks also shot 66.7 percent (24-of-36) from the free throw line.
York held a slim margin (50-48) in rebounds and Hunter controlled the assist battle (22-16). Additionally, the Hawks held an edge in points off turnovers (24-17) and bench points (46-15). The Cardinals had more second-chance points (20-11), fast break points (32-24), and points in the paint (46-16).
The Cardinals graduate a three-member senior class consisting of Chisholm (2018-23), Price (2022-23) and
Matthew Smiley (2022).
