BRONX --- (
www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's swimming competed Saturday in day two of the CUNYAC Championships hosted by Lehman College inside The APEX.
Alex Winter, who entered the 100-yard breaststroke seeded third at 1:10.88, shattered his season best time by 1.78 to register seven points. Winter's second-place finish in 1:09.10 at the 2023 Championships topped his previous best of fourth place at the 2020 Championships.
"I felt really good because I have been working at this since I have been here, and my goal was to medal in at least one competition." - said Winter.
Winter's 11 points through two races give him 64-career across two CUNYAC Championships.
"Alex taking home second place brought a huge sense of pride and reminded us of the potential York has! Can't wait to see how we end this year's champs!" - said co-head coach Paulana Lamonier
