www.YORKATHLETICS.com)Â York College men's and women's swimming competed Thursday evening in a CUNYAC road matchup against the Lehman College Lightning inside APEX Swimming Pool.

The Cardinal men picked up a 27-10 non-conference victory against the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons (0-12) while dropping a 57-27 decision to the Lightning (4-6, 1-2 CUNYAC). York fell by the final count of 62-22 to Lehman (4-7, 2-3 CUNYAC) in the women's meet.
Alex Winter headlined York in the men's meet with a trio of victories. He touched the wall first in the 50-yard freestyle (23.92) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.88) events. Winter then produced first-place points in the 100-yard freestyle (56.10).
On the women's side, Nayelly Rojas claimed victory in the 100-yard backstroke race in 2:12.17. Rojas garnered first-place points in the 50-yard freestyle (44.79) and also collected second-place points in the 100-yard freestyle (1:53.75)

The Cardinals (M: 1-5, 0-2 CUNYAC; W: 0-5, 0-3 CUNYAC) return to action next Friday (Jan. 27) for day one of the CUNYAC Championships (Jan. 27-29) hosted by Lehman College inside APEX Swimming Pool.Â
