FLUSHING, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College freshman Emmanuel Haynes has been named the CUNYAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week, announced Tuesday by league officials for the Dec. 5-11 reporting period.

Against competition from NCAA Division I, II and III at the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout on December 9 inside Ocean Breeze Park Athletic Complex, Haynes crossed the finish line in 7.72 to rank fourth on the CUNYAC Performance List in the 60-meter dash.  The Brooklyn native also ran the 300-meter event in a time of 38.16.

Haynes and the Cardinals will continue their season on January 14 at 1 p.m. as they participate in the College of New Jersey Lions Invitational inside New Balance Track & Field Center @ The Armory.
