www.YORKATHLETICS.com)Â York College men's and women's cross country teams hosted their annual Invitational Sunday morning for a final test run on the CUNYAC Championship course at Van Cortlandt Park.Â
Jaylene Coye and
Shawn Nemoto led the Cardinals in their respective races.
The Cardinals scored 215 points to finish tied for ninth of 14 teams on the 6k course. Coye paced York with a 37th-place showing in 33:33.80.Â
Gina Scales was the second Cardinal to cross the finish line, clocking a 35:11.50 to take 46th out of 97 runners.
Emely Cuevas finished in 35:45.20 for 48th while
Kaithlyn Taylor (38:11.90) and
Shalanie McIntosh (38:16.20) finished 60th and 61st, respectively, to round out York's scoring five.

Endicott College scored 28 points headlined by Holly Fossa's winning time of 26:05.90 to help the Gulls capture the individual and team titles.
In a head-to-head meet, York produced a win over Lehman with a 25-30 decision (

The Cardinals placed eighth of 13 teams in the second race of the day as York scored 239 points in the men's meet. Nemoto led York for the third time in as many races in 2019, collecting 37th place in 36:57.80 against the field of 100.Â
Terrell Trumpet (39:01.40) finished the 8k course one second faster and two spots ahead of
Andrew George (39:02.40) for 49th place.Â
Keshawn Ross covered the course in 41:48.70 to claim 65th place and
Kaylash Autar took 73rd in 43:25.90 to round out the scoring lineup.Â

Endicott completed the team title sweep by securing four top-10 finishes to record 31 points. CCNY's Muhammed Quadri ran the course in 30:11.00 to win the individual title.Â
The Cardinals return to the trails next on October 5 when they compete at the NJIT Highlander Challenge at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey with the women leading off at 11 a.m. followed by the men at 12 p.m.
