JAMAICA, N.Y--The York College Athletic Department recognized its Seniors on Thursday versus the College of Staten Island. From men's swimming, Jeremy Chao and Frederis Tapia received Senior honors. The Cardinals would lose by a score of 46-133.
 
For the men's competitions, the team of Anthony Nazario, Wesam Bahrawi, Jeremy Chao and Anthony Jordan finished 2^ndin the 200-meter relay (2:17.52). In the 100-meter breaststroke competition, Juan Rodriguez placed 2^nd with a time of 1:29.77. In the 400-meter freestyle event, Arafath Hussain finished 2^nd(7:01.05).
 
In the women's competition, Senior Shantusha Kanhai placed first in the 100-meter breastroke competition with a time of 1:37.08. In the 50-meter freestyle competition, Senior Nicolasa Restituyo finished third (58.72) and Isis Funez placed 2^nd (58.28). In the 200-meter Freestyle relay the team of Geraldine Guese, Dorianny Rojas, Shantusha Kanhai and Mariela Rosario finished with a time of 2:21.38 placing 1^st.
 
The next event will be on February 1^stfor the CUNYAC championships.
