Women's Volleyball loses two CUNYAC Matches

New York, NY - The York College women's volleyball team dropped two CUNY Athletic Conference matches on Monday, losing in straight sets to both City College of New York and Hunter College.

CCNY
York battled the Beavers but still lost 3-0 (25-15, 25-9, 25-4).  The Cardinals totaled 10 kills in this match but committed 19 errors.  They also once again struggled to return serves, allowing 19 aces.  Argenis Morales had four kills, while Shamonie Miller had three assists and five digs. Kiara Gonzalez also had five assists.
 
CCNY was led by Nicole Polanco, who had 14 kills and 13 digs. They improve to 7-9, 3-4 CUNYAC.

Hunter
The Cardinals fell 25-9, 25-2, 25-9 to the four-time defending CUNYAC Champs.  The Hawks hit .388 as a team and recorded 19 aces.  York only totaled four kills on the day.
 
Hunter (15-5, 7-0 CUNYAC) was led by Marium Ouattara, who finished with nine kills and a .571 hitting percentage. Marlena recorded nine kills and hit .727.
 
York got six digs from Kiara Gonzalez and five digs from Dorianny Rojas. 

The Cardinals return to action on Friday evening hosting New Jersey City University in their final home match of the season.
