Women’s Volleyball Drops Conference Match to Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.—The York College women's volleyball team fell on the road to the College of Staten Island in a CUNYAC match-up b a score of 3-0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-19).
 
In the loss, Allison Ahmed led the Cardinals, recording 12 digs, and three kills.  Christine Houston added eight digs, while Chayana Jimenez finished with three kills and six digs.
 
CSI got a big game from Caitlin Espositio, who had nine kills.  Jessica Cafiero finished with 19 assists, five aces and six digs.
 
York is 0-11, 0-4 CUNYAC, while CSI is 3-2, 2-3 CUNYAC. The Cardinals will host Sarah Lawrence College and Medgar Evers College this Saturday at 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively.
