WAYNE, N.J.- The York College women's volleyball team fell to both William Paterson University (25-0, 25-4, 25-7), and Maritime College (25-21, 25-11 , 25-19 ) in three straight sets on Saturday afternoon.

Against William Paterson, the Cardinals only managed five kills in the contest. William Patterson controlled the whole match, recording 37 kills and 21 aces. Christine Griffith posted the best stat line for the Pioneers with seven kills, 10 aces and 14 digs.

In the match against Maritime College, York's improved effort still wasn't enough. Gabrielle Kempski had seven kills and 11 digs for the Privateers, while Erika Kirchner added 21 assists. The Privateers posted 28 kills to go along with 14 aces.

In the two matches for the Cardinals,
Argenis Morales led the way for York, averaging 4.5 kills, while
Allison Li chipped in 5.5 assists and five digs per match.

The Cardinals now hold a 1-17 record on the season. They play again this Monday, October 9
th when they host Medgar Evers College and Baruch College in a tri-match at the York College Gymnasium beginning at 12 p.m.
