The first two sets were all St. Joseph's, while in the third York showed improved play and held leads early. However, the Golden Eagles picked it up to win the third set.
The Cardinals could not contain SJC's Morgan Tiska, who recorded ten kills on 15 attempts for a percentage of .667. As a team, the Golden Eagles hit an impressive .322 and recorded 31 kills.
York's
Tiandra Jones had three kills, four digs and an ace to lead her team in defeat.
St. Joseph's improves to 4-8 with the win, while York is now 2-12. The Cardinals will have a week to regroup and will return to action next Wednesday, October 5 when they host New Jersey City University at 7 p.m.
