York Swimming Opens Season with Loss to Mount Saint Mary

JAMAICA, NY— The York College men's and women's swimming team each lost to Mount Saint Mary College in the season opener Friday night. The men fell 77-68, while the women were defeated 97-80.

Averie Mohammed led the women's team with second place finishes in the 100-freestyle and 50-freestyle.

The women's team will return to action on Tuesday when they visit Hunter College at 6:00 p.m. The men return to action on November 17 with a home meet against Old Westbury and Mount Saint Vincent.
