RESULTSJAMAICA N.Y. – The York College outdoor track and field team had a solid performance this past weekend at The College of New Jersey Invitational, with
Shaquille Hodge,
Jaron Williams and
Roshane Wright leading the way.
In the men's 100-meter dash, Hodge placed sixth with a time of 11.25, while Wright came in eighth in the 400-meter dash at 50.34. Both Hodge and Wright, along with
Tarik Weekes and
Jesus Medina teamed up for the 4x400-meter relay and came in seventh with a time of 3:23.44. Depsite the seventh place finish, that time was good enough to qualify for Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.
Jaron Williams had a strong performance in the triple jump, placing eighth (12.87).
On the woman's side, it was a tough outing, however the 4x400-meter relay team consisting of
Johane Accime,
Diana Cuevas,
Akera Allen and Stayce-Kay Muirhead were able to finish fourth in their event with a time of 4:23.33.
York's next track and field meet will be at the CTC Outdoor Championships, starting on Friday, April 18th at 10 a.m.
