Tracey Marshall

Entering her 18th season at the helm in 2025, Tracey Marshall has served as the head softball coach at York College in two separate stints since 2003.

Marshall has established a team identity for York as a threat on the base path. Individually, four Cardinals have ranked in the top-20 in stolen bases per game among NCAA Division III leaders, including a ranking of fourth in 2023 (Shamonie Miller, 1.13) and fifth in 2004 (Camille Brown, 1.21). Collectively, York has ranked in the top-30 in stolen bases per game in NCAA Division III in 10 seasons, including a ranking as high as third in 2008 (3.06).

During her tenure at York, Marshall is credited with developing all six of the program’s CUNYAC All-Stars. She has also coached six CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team selections, including York’s second-ever CUNYAC Sportsmanship Award honoree, Mary Cuevas (2022).

Marshall served as York's head coach for 12 years (2003–2015) since the team's inception. After two years away from the program, Marshall returned to York to lead the Cardinals starting in the 2018 season.

A staple at York for more than two decades, Marshall has also provided leadership in the roles of assistant women’s volleyball coach (1998–2013) and assistant men’s volleyball coach (1999–2022).

Marshall, an active member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), is a 1983 graduate of Colgate University.
