Getting To Know Jaslene
I Chose York Because: York represents a new chapter in my life and an opportunity for me to grow into the person I want to become. I wanted to attend a college where I could not only focus on my education but also have support and resources to help me along the way, which is why the SEEK program stood out to me. York gives me the chance to become more independent, learn from new experiences, and work toward a career in social work. I want to use my own experiences and the challenges I have faced to connect with and help others, and I believe York College is a place where I can begin building that future for myself.
Favorite Part About York College: York represents growth and opportunity for me, and I  slowly but surely make my way through. The diversity also stands out. 
Career Goals After Graduation: I want to work in a field where I can make a positive difference in the lives of others. I want to use my personal experiences, empathy and my education to support people who may be going through difficult situations and help connect them with the resources they need.
