York College Gymnasium

The York College Gymnasium is home to the basketball and volleyball teams and features a seating capacity of 2,500, spanning 17,290 square feet. A 150-meter indoor track encircles the second floor of the facility.

In 2025, the gymnasium was upgraded with LED lighting that provides an energy-efficient solution, offering bright, uniform illumination while maximizing energy savings. This plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall gym experience—both on the hardwood and the indoor track. The maple flooring was redesigned in 2022 and refinished in 2025 to restore its fresh, polished glow.

The gymnasium is also equipped with an indoor batting cage and can be configured for a variety of activities and events, including indoor tennis, soccer, badminton, wrestling, karate, gymnastics, expos, graduations, and more. A ceiling-mounted divider can be deployed to split the gym into two separate spaces. Guest Wi-Fi access is available throughout the facility.

Additionally, the gymnasium features an Automated Camera System, which includes a set of fixed cameras that utilize AI-based algorithms to film games and other activities. The system merges multiple camera angles into a panoramic view of the playing area, detecting players and automatically generating a produced stream of the game using intelligent framing.
