Zia Lefebvre has been named to the eight-member 2026 CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Preseason Player to Watch list, as announced Wednesday by the league office.
Appearing in 66 sets across 20 matches during her freshman season, Lefebvre paced the team with 145 kills (2.20 kills/set) while anchoring the defense with 174 digs (2.64 digs/set). She ranked fifth in the CUNYAC in digs and eighth in kills on a per-set basis. The sophomore also recorded nine matches with double-digit digs and six contests with 10+ kills, including a 15-kill 15-dig performance against University of Valley Forge (Sept. 13) that helped her claim
CUNYAC Women's Volleyball Rookie of the Week.
Per the coaches, the Cardinals will finish seventh in the upcoming campaign.

John Jay College leads the group with 45 points and four first-place votes. Brooklyn College follows with 40 points and two first-place nods. Baruch College and CCNY received the other two first-place nominations. York received 13 points. The Cardinals' seven-match conference schedule begins with a road meeting at Hunter College on September 29.
The 2026 CUNYAC Championship will take place on November 10 (first round), November 12 (semifinals), and November 13 (finals), with the league champion receiving an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
The Cardinals begin their campaign Tuesday (Sept. 2) against the Purchase College Panthers in a road matchup inside Purchase College Gymnasium starting at 7 p.m.
