OLD WESTBURY, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's soccer opened its 2025 season Wednesday afternoon with a non-conference road display against the SUNY Old Westbury Panthers (2-1), dropping a 3-0 decision from Panther Park.

First-Half Breakdown 
Attacking from the first kick off, Old Westbury came close at the 2:51 mark when Taryn Hilke struck the woodwork. Debuting in net, Amaniya Aiken stopped three Panther shots in the next 115 seconds of action to keep the score at 0-0. Elena Petri tallied Old Westbury's second woodwork shot as her attempt cannoned off the post in the 12th minute. Continuing to knock on the door, Petri broke the ice at the 31:29 point to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. Dorla Miguel Leiva doubled the advantage just under two minutes later. 

Second-Half Breakdown 
Skylar Catrambone made it 3-0 in the 53rd minute. Hilke found her name on the scoresheet just before the full-time whistle, finalizing the 4-0 result for Old Westbury.

Inside the Box Score
The Panthers dominated in the shots (41), shots on target (21-0), and corner kicks (11-0) categories. In net, Aiken parried away 17 Old Westbury attempts, while Kristen Gallagher (2-1) recorded a shutout for the Panthers.
