Ernest Bawilliam claimed the CUNYAC Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rookie Athlete of the Week award for meets ran Apr. 21-27.
This honor is Bawilliam's first career CUNYAC weekly laurel and the program's first Rookie of the Year selection since Hakeem Griffiths in 2022.
Running at the Vassar College Twilight Invitational (Apr. 26), Bawilliam secured career-highs in the 1,500-meter (4:46.53, 12th) and 800-meter (2:15.90, 19th) events. Among CUNYAC competitors, those times rank eighth and ninth respectively. The rookie was also part of the 4x400-meter relay that claimed a fifth-place result (4:11.98).
