Altenor Molien was selected as a 2025 CUNYAC Men's Tennis Preseason Player to Watch, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Competing in 11 matches at the singles and doubles level in 2024, Molien claimed his first victory with an (6-4, 6-2) result on the No. 2 court against Lehman College (May. 2). His contributions sparked a 2023-24 York College Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year Award.
According to the CUNYAC Preseason Coaches Poll, the Cardinals are projected to finish sixth.

Baruch College is touted as regular-season champions, receiving 24 points and four first-place nods. Both Hunter College and Brooklyn College also collected one first-place vote, while the Cardinals tallied 5 points. York's five-match conference slate begins with a home outing against Baruch College on March 11.
The 2025 CUNYAC Championships will take place on April 27 (semifinals) and May 1 (finals), with the league champion receiving an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
York finished the 2024 campaign with a 0-11 record, claiming four games against CUNYAC competitor Lehman College on two occasions. Along with Molien, experienced returners
