After taking 17 points in a competitive first-set victory, the Cardinals fell in four frames (19-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-9) in the non-conference matchup inside York College Gymnasium.
First Set Breakdown
- Madison Plaza's ace capped off York's 5-1 start.
- Consecutive kills from Zia Lefebvre put the score at 8-4.
- A mini 5-2 spurt from the Panthers trimmed the deficit to one (10-9).
- Getting some breathing room, Jaymie Mateo served an ace to finish an 8-3 stretch, extending the Cardinals' lead to six (18-12).
