JAMAICA, NY --- (
www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's soccer capped off a four-game non-conference homestand Monday afternoon with a sensational 11-0 victory against the Medgar Evers College Cougars (0-1). The 11 goals scored are the most the Cardinals have produced since their 11-goal effort against the Cougars in September 2016.

First-Half Breakdown
The Cardinals got off the mark in the 11th minute after
Brithney Bielma carried the ball the length of the pitch and found the back of the net with a side-foot finish for the game-winning goal. Bielma doubled York's advantage at the 15:02 point with a powerful header after a cross by
Karyme Martinez. Bielma got her hat-trick 32 seconds later to make the scoreline 3-0. After consistently finding space to shoot on her right foot,
Stephanie Ramirez got York's fourth goal of the game after burying a pass from
Alisha Adams in the 34th minute.
Emelin Cajamarca got on the scoresheet for the Cardinals with four seconds to go in the half to make it 5-0.
Second-Half Breakdown
Turning from provider to goalscorer, Adams banged in two top-corner strikes in the first six minutes of action, extending the lead to 7-0.
Karyme Martinez curled one past Medgar Evers goalkeeper Fatou Karamoko (0-1-0) at the 60:15 mark. Bielma added her fourth goal in the 67th minute, and
Gema Guillen claimed a quickfire brace in the final four minutes to close out an 11-0 victory for York. These were Guillen's first strikes since the 2021 campaign.

In a day of history, the Cardinals broke program records with 31 points, nine assists, 56 shots and 28 shots on goal. Guillen leveled Taylor Bellmon's record of 15 shots that she generated in an October 2019 match. Ramirez was not far behind today with 11 attempts. Behind the sticks, Mancuso (1-3-0) saved two shots and recorded her first-ever clean sheet. For Medgar Evers, Karamoko denied 17 shots.
